COLEMAN-SMITH SCHOOL FOOD ROADMAP
Support package to help schools identify and start making improvements in school food and food culture.
An experienced Chefs in Schools team member will visit your school over the course of two days to conduct:
A full review of kitchen layout, practices, storecupboard, team ability
An assessment of front of house including; queuing, service equipment, counter layout, marketing
Meetings with Headteacher, School Business Manager, pupils and where possible parent groups, to identify feedback about school food and food culture, engagement with current supplier (if applicable)
Complete our What Works Well checklist together, based on the School Food Plan values
Assess your current uptake for UIFSM, FSM & paid meals
After the visits, we will prepare a simple, action based, timelined roadmap that your school can follow to make immediate and medium to long-term improvements.
Whilst this is a paid-for service, we will always take into account the size and budget of your school food, and where possible, seek match funding to support your school’s quest to improve your food.
